Privacy Policy

The short version: ADB Remote doesn't collect, store or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no servers. It only talks to the devices you connect it to on your own network.

What the app does

ADB Remote lets your iPhone control Android-based TVs, projectors and streaming boxes using the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) protocol. All communication happens directly between your iPhone and your device over your local network.

Information we collect

None. We don't operate any servers that receive data from the app, and the app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.

Information stored on your iPhone

A connection key. The first time you connect, the app creates a cryptographic key and stores it in your iPhone's Keychain. Your TV uses it to recognize your phone after you choose "Allow". It never leaves your iPhone except as the public key your TV sees during connection.
Preferences. The address of the last device you connected to, your pinned apps and display preferences are saved on your iPhone so the app remembers them.

Deleting the app removes these preferences. You can remove the phone's access on your TV by revoking USB debugging authorizations in its Developer options.

Local network access

iOS asks for permission to find devices on your local network. The app uses this only to discover and connect to devices with ADB enabled on your Wi-Fi. It does not scan or contact anything outside your local network.

Screen preview and text

When you use the screen preview, your TV streams its screen to your iPhone over your local network, where it is shown and immediately discarded. It is never recorded, saved or uploaded. Text you type is sent only to your TV.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
